What Happens
When You Reach Out

There's no automated onboarding. No form that dumps you into a pipeline. Here's exactly what the process looks like.

1

You Message James

Use the contact form, or message James directly on WhatsApp. Say what you're interested in and leave your number. That's all that's needed at this stage.

2

James Gets In Touch — Same Day

James will call or message you back — usually the same day, often within a few hours. This is a real conversation, not a script. He'll ask about your goals, your starting point, and what's got in the way before.

3

Your Schedule Gets Set Up

Based on that conversation, James will put together the sessions that fit your week. You won't be assigned to a fixed timetable — your schedule is built around your availability.

4

James Meets You for Your First Session

On day one, James will meet you before you have to navigate the gym floor on your own. You won't be arriving blind. The first session is already built around what he learned in your conversation.

The Stuff That
Makes the Difference

Most gyms list features. Here's what those features actually mean in practice at TFW Abingdon.

Coached — Not Just Supervised

James is in every session coaching. Not walking the floor or watching from a desk. He's adjusting technique, noticing what you're doing, and making real-time corrections. That's what separates coaching from supervision — and it's the reason people improve at TFW when they didn't improve elsewhere.

Small Groups — Not Packed Classes

The numbers at TFW are deliberately kept manageable. James keeps them that way because it's the only way to actually coach a group — not just lead it. You won't feel like one of fifty people in a class where no one knows your name.

Structured Sessions — Not Freestyle

Every session has a structure and a purpose. You're not handed a programme sheet and left to it. James leads the session from start to finish. If you don't know what you're doing or why, you ask. That's what he's there for.

Flexible Schedule — Not a Fixed Timetable

Your sessions are set up around your available days, not the other way around. If your schedule shifts week to week, that's fine. James builds the flexibility in from the start — because training that doesn't fit your life is training you'll stop doing.

Membership
FAQs

Do I need to be fit to join?
No. The conversation James has with you before you start is specifically to understand where you're at right now — not to check whether you're fit enough. He's worked with complete beginners, people returning from injury, and people who haven't trained in years. You start where you start.
What's the difference between the 8-week programme and full membership?
The 8-week programme is a fixed-length commitment — it starts on a specific date and ends on a specific date. There's no rolling contract, no automatic renewal, and no pressure to continue. Full membership is ongoing — you pay monthly and train as often as your schedule allows. Most people start with the 8-week programme and move to full membership when they're ready.
Can I cancel full membership if it's not working?
Yes. Full membership is £90 a month and can be cancelled anytime. James would always rather have a conversation with you first if something isn't working — in case it's something that can be fixed — but there's no lock-in and no awkward cancellation process.
What days and times are the sessions?
Sessions run Monday to Friday at 6:00am, 9:30am, 6:00pm, and 7:00pm. Teen TFW runs Monday to Friday at 5:00pm. Your schedule is built around which of these sessions fit your week — James sorts that out with you before you start.
What if I miss sessions?
Life happens. Missing occasional sessions doesn't derail the programme. Your schedule is built with some flexibility from the start. If you're going to be away for a stretch, just let James know — he'll work around it.
Is there a refund policy for the 8-week programme?
Yes. If within the first 30 days it genuinely isn't the right fit, you'll get a full refund — no awkward conversations, no hoops to jump through. Just get in touch with James directly.
I'm coming back after an injury. Is that a problem?
Not at all — it's one of the most common starting points at TFW. James will factor it into your initial conversation and make sure your schedule and programme account for it from the start. He won't push you past what's sensible.

Any Questions?
